Day 1 - Mysore

Arrive in Bangalore and travel south for 3 hours to the ancient kingdom of Mysore.

Day 2 - Coorg

Arrive at the Tiger reserve in the hills of Coorg in time for an afternoon safari drive through the jungle. 

Day 3 - Coorg

Morning and afternoon safari through the core area of the national park.

Day 4 - Kabini

Travel west to the riverside resort in Kabini. Enjoy more jeep safaris through various parts of the tiger reserve.

Day 5 & 6 - Wayanad, Kerala

Experience the pristine Vythiri hills in Wayanad with abundant birdlife, plants and mammals. Enjoy tree-house national park accomodation 

Day 7-9  - Kochi

Travel south to the hinterlands of Kochi for a rejuvenating health retreat. Experience ayurvedic massages, yoga practices and authentic Kerala cuisine.

Day 10 & 11 - Munnar

Travel east to the picturesque tea plantations and hills of Munnar for day hikes, safari and village experiences.

Day 12 - Alleppey

Travel south to the wetlands of Alleppey for birdwatching and backwaters exploring.

Day 13 - Alleppey

All  aboard for an overnight experience through the backwaters in traditional Kerala houseboats. 


Full Intinerary

Day One - Arrive in Bangalore


Arrive at Bangalore International Airport. After meeting your guide, travel 2 hours south-west of Bangalore to the ancient kingdom of Mysore - famed for its glittering royal heritage, and magnificent architecture. Depending upon the time you check into your hotel, give your body enough rest before venturing out into the bustling streets and bazaars in the city.

Day Two - Tiger Reserve


Breakfast is arranged at the hotel restaurant between 08:00 - 09:00 AM. Soon after breakfast, we will travel 2 hours south to the Coorg District, home to one of the best protected tiger reserves in India. The park has a rich forest cover, small streams, hills, valleys and waterfalls. Asian Elephants, Indian Gaur, Sambar deers, Leopards, Tigers and Asiatic Wild Dogs are often sighted at Nagarhole during Jeep safaris. As well as a variety of birds, monkeys and Southern Birdwing butterflies are popular. Enjoy the jungle surrounds and comfortable safari lodge accommodation tonight before setting off on your first safari early in the morning. 

Day Three - Jeep Safari


Early morning jeep safari is at 06:00AM sharp. Chances of animal sightings are extremely high in the early morning hours before the sun has completely risen. Breakfast and lunch will be served back at the lodge before heading out for the afternoon jeep safari at 3:30PM. A hearty traditional meal will also be served at the lodge for dinner. 

Day Four - Safari & Travel to Kabini


Rise early for morning jeep safari at 6 AM through a different region of the national park, giving the best possibility for wildlife sightings. After breakfast back at the lodge, travel 2 hours south-east to Kabini river. The region beckons with the promise of elephants, Indian gaur, deer, leopards and even tigers. Accommodation will be on the banks of the river in one of the finest safari lodges the region has to offer. A boat safari is organised at 3:30 PM down the Kabini river. Sightings of herds of elephants grazing on the river banks, crocodiles sunning themselves and an incredible diversity of birds flitting in and out of the forest’s green canopy are to be expected. After a busy day of sightings, dinner will be served alfresco around the bonfire. 

Day Five - Safari & Wayanad, Kerala


6:00 AM is the morning jeep safari along the riverside of the national park. After breakfast at the riverside lodge, travel 3 hours south to the mountains of Wayanad in Kerala. Vythiri Village, set on the edge of the national park is an exquisite jungle getaway, home to an incredible diversity of amphibians, birds, fish, reptiles, herbs, flowering plants, butterflies and mammals. Your accommodation will be at the beautiful rainforest resort, featuring mud cabins and a swimming pool.

Day Six - Hikes & Leisure Time

Wake up at your own leisure and enjoy a traditional Kerala style breakfast at the resort restaurant. Take in the tropical, rainforest environment and relax before heading out on a day hike, organised to surrounding peaks and valleys.  Dinner will be back at the resort. 

Day Seven - Road trip to Kochi

Leave for Kochi after breakfast. The journey is about 7 hours, stopping along the way to enjoy a traditional roadside meal and classic Kerala chai. Nestled in seven acres of lush farm vegetation, bamboo thickets surrounded by rice fields and rubber plantations, you will spend the  next two days relaxing in the nature retreat. Treat yourselves with Ayurvedic massages, yoga classes, meditation and exceptional Kerala cuisine. 

Day Eight & Nine - Yoga & Ayurveda Retreat


Wake up alarm is at 6:00 AM and hot herbal tea will be served in the cafe before heading out for your first yoga practice in the yoga shala, looking out to the sun rising over the paddy field. Yoga is for everyone, no matter if you've never done it before or are an advanced practitioner. From 09:30-11:30 there is a yogic philosophy introductory class - great for grounding in yogic science for everyday life. During your break hours, enjoy nature walks around the village or a swim in the pool set amongst the greenery. The organic vegetable garden is also bustling with life and producing for the in-house kitchen and nearby homes.

Day Ten - Tea Plantations

After rising early, we leave by 6:30 AM to travel by road to the sprawling tea plantations of Munnar. Situated at around 1500m above sea level, Munnar is a scenic town surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations, waterfalls and hiking trails. On the way, we make a pitstop to a traditional theatre to watch Kathakali; a masked theatre performance originating in Kerala. A picturesque spot throughout the year, it is not uncommon to see families of wild elephants cruising up the mountains as well as other birds and wildlife. During monsoon season you can witness the rain clouds blanketing the Western Ghats mountain range as families of workers harvest the tea plantations throughout the day. Upon arrival at your guest house in the afternoon, sit back and enjoy a cup of locally grown organic tea. If you have an interested in photography, there are incredible opportunities in Munnar not only for landscape photography but also local people and culture. 

Day Eleven - Eravikulam National Park

Leave for Eravikulam National Park, a short drive from the township of Munnar. The national park is home to the endangered Nigiri Tahr, a mountain ibex endemic to this part of the world. The region also has a vast diversity of birdlife and mammals. Road safari through the tea plantations are also organised, depending upon the weather and time constraints. Head back to the guest house for dinner by the bonfire.

Day Twelve - Explore Backwaters

Head back down the hills of Munnar to the backwaters of Alleppey. Alleppey is home to a vast network of waterways and the hub for houseboat cruises. Lush green rice fields, coconut groves and the wonderful world of waterfront villages and migrant wetland birdlife are some of the attractions. Your accommodation will be in a modest guest house on the banks of the river. 

Day Thirteen - Houseboat Voyage

After breakfast, get on board for an overnight voyage through the backwaters in a traditional Kerala houseboat. Equipped with all basic amenities, freshly cooked food and drinks, enjoy the last day of your journey to Kerala in style.

Day Fourteen - Onward Travel


Depending on your onward movements, drop offs are arranged to the airport if you're heading out of the country or to another place of your convenience in Kochi. Onward travel plans can also be worked out with us, if you are looking to continue your travels through rest of India.


How much does this tour cost?

$2650 USD per person with a non-refundable deposit of $800 to be paid upon registration. Balance must be paid no later than 3 weeks prior to departure. 

What is and isn't included?

This tour is inclusive of all accomodation, transport and food as well as activities, day trips, massage, yoga and tour guides. The tour price does not include the cost of flights to Kochi, visas or travel insurance. However we can assist with getting you the best deals.

What else do I need to know?

Passport - must be valid no less than 6 months after the day of arrival to India

Visa - 30 day tourist visas can be granted at the airport upon arrival, however you will need to pre-fill an application online. Visa information will be sent to guests after registration.

Travel Insurance - travellers are advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure. At the bare minimum, insurance should cover medical. Our travel insurance company of choice is World Nomads, however there are countless companies offering competitive rates. Again, we can assist if needed.
