Experience a fusion of classical South Indian Hatha and Kemetic Yoga, originating from the ancient land of Kemet in Egypt. Four hours of daily meditative and rejuvenative yoga practic by the riverside, surrounded by breath-taking mountain scenery in the Himalayan village of Old Manali.

Set in the heart of the Indian Himalayas, in Old Manali; the area is known for its natural beauty, bustling street vibe, hikes, waterfalls and as a central backpackers point to explore the Northern reaches of the Indian Himalayas.
The village of Old Manali is a modern day hippie town with a vast array of cafes, restaurants and shops lining up the main street. The local culture is extremely warm and international with lots of expats staying here for months or even years.
The nearest airport is the KULLU- Manali Airport which is 2 hours away from Old Manali by road. The other option is to fly into Delhi or Chandigarh and get an overnight bus to Manali. If you’re already in Northern Indian Himalayas, Manali is easily accessible by road. Upon reaching Manali bus station, get an autoricksaw to Old Manali (only 2 Kms away) or walk up through the pine forest nature park for 30 minutes or so to reach the far side of Manaslu river.
Your accommodation is at Rainbow Guest House on the banks of Manaslu Nala Stream; just far enough from the hustle and bustle for guests to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the local riverside setting.
The modest and clean rooms all have attached bathrooms with hot water and an outside sitting area (and balcony upstairs) looking out to the river and surrounding mountains. The Summer Orchard Café is right next door, down by the riverside and will provide a delicious vegetarian meal for brunch after morning yoga class.
A typical day of retreat
Morning herbal tea and cut fruit is at 8:00. Yoga starts at 8:30 on the rooftop yoga shala. 2 hours of practice comprises of warm up exercises, yoga asana, pranayama and meditation. At 10:45 brunch will be at Summer Orchard café.
The rest of the day until 4.30pm is free to explore and soak up the eclectic local culture. Short nature walks through the orchards and natural pine forests, relax in the nearby hot spring or simply flow through the day just enjoying the crisp clean air of the mountains. Afternoon yoga session is from 4:30 - 6:30.
Enjoy your evening with a meal in one of the many restaurants where there is often live music and good vibes. Alternatively you could order room service or eat at Summer Orchard.
